The Canadian Society of Church History / Société canadienne d’histoire de l’église sponsors the John Webster Grant- John S. Moir Graduate Essay Prize for the best essay presented at the Society’s Annual Meeting by a graduate student.
The prize is valued at $300.00.
To be considered for the award, Graduate students must ensure:
1. That the papers will be submitted to the editor of the Papers
2. That the individuals submitting papers for consideration of the prize be a graduate student at the time of presentation of the paper.
3. That the student’s supervisor will submit a form to the editor of the papers confirming the individual’s graduate-student status
The winning essay will be published in the Papers and designated as the winning paper.
The essay should be between 15 and 20 double spaced pages (approx. 4000 and 5000 words of text) using a Times New Roman 12 point font (references not included). The essay may be an expansion of the presentation given at the CSCH but is expected to have additional material. No bibliography is required. Please use the CSCH SCHE Style Guide for formatting and style.
